Build a Wheelchair. Change a Life.
Build-a-Wheelchair Challenge
Assemble. Innovate. Navigate.
The Build-a-Wheelchair Challenge is a hands-on CSR team building activity where teams earn wheelchair components through mini-challenges, assemble fully functional wheelchairs, then donate them to people in need. It runs 90-120 minutes for 15–200 participants and is available across PAN India.
It combines hands-on assembly with inclusive competition — and a real-world impact. Teams first earn components through engaging mini-challenges, then collaborate to build working wheelchairs, and test them on skill-based courses. The experience ends where it matters most: every wheelchair built is donated to someone who needs it. Beyond the fun, teams leave with sharper teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving — and the knowledge that their effort changed a life.
Activity Flow
- Introduction & Teams (10–15 min): Briefing on rules, safety, and inclusivity themes; teams formed.
- Part Collection Challenges (45–60 min): Teams solve puzzles, games, and physical tasks to earn wheelchair components.
- Wheelchair Assembly (60–90 min): Teams collaborate to build fully functional wheelchairs, following instructions and applying creativity.
- Navigation Challenges (30–45 min): Teams compete on skill-based courses — speed, control, and teamwork on display.
- Donation & Debrief (15–20 min): Wheelchairs are handed over to recipients or a partner NGO; facilitators draw out lessons on teamwork, innovation, and inclusivity, with awards for fastest, most creative, and most precise teams.
